When you’re in Davao, you must not pass up on the opportunity to witness the wildlife and get an educational tour about them! One famous spot you must visit is the Philippine Eagle Center. It is an 8.4 acre conservation and breeding facility that is located at the foot of Mount Apo inside the Malagos Watershed.
This center has the purpose of preserving the Philippine Eagle and other birds of prey from further endangerment. They work hard to give eagles a chance to survive and prosper when they return them to the wild. They don’t stop there, because they also interfere with preserving the rainforest habitation of those eagles and safeguarding their biodiversity.
The center simulates a tropical rainforest environment and offers exhibits to educate Filipinos and other visitors on conservation. A sought after display here is the Raptors in Flight show, where rangers work with the eagles and showcase skills and tricks. You can see these majestic birds fly in the sky and catch their prey midair.
What are you waiting for, pay a visit soon!
